The Rules of The Road Movie

00:00:11: But not everything that claims to be road movies is in fact a road movie.

00:00:16: I would actually argue there are five things you need for a great road movie or just the road movie In general.

00:00:21: Number one The majority of the movie must spent on said road.

00:00:26: Number two The road itself must actually be a character either exerting force against or for our protagonists.

00:00:33: Number three, the method of transportation being at the footsies and boat seas are.

00:00:38: the automobile bubbles must in fact help characters on their journey.

00:00:43: Number four- A map very early must be laid out to understand where they're going.

00:00:56: You need to go from Atlanta, to Texarkana and back.

00:00:59: Done!

00:01:00: It's why Hitchcock was crazy about that film.

00:01:02: And number five The journey itself Those steps along the way must transform our characters forever Meaning people who started it Must be different at end of said journey BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTER OF THE ROAD.
